February Rides

February was a rough month for riding. It's been very cold and I had to miss a weekend with Joker because of a winter storm :(  I hate missing time with my buddy but it was best for both of us to stay inside!  I am definately looking forward to warmer weather and lots more riding!!  Here are our two rides from February.

Our Feb. 21st ride was the longest to date. I pushed him to ride down to the end of the road and back.  I have yet to figure out why the house at the end of the road is so 'scary' but we made it past it!! On the way back someone (aka Joker) was so happy to be headed back to the barn that he broke into a trot. I had to hold him back due to icy conditions but once we got closer to the barn he settled down and we were even able to ride the opposite direction for a bit.  It was a good ride and I was very happy with how Joker did.

We had a total of 2.42 miles and have racked up 5.72 miles in 2015 so far!  I'm super happy with this actually!  Here's a picture of my boy all snug in his rug ;)

January Rides

I have been terrible at keeping this up so I'm going to get caught up on our rides by month right now and then I will take it from there.

January was actually a good month.  I got out to ride almost every weekend. They weren't long rides but I'll take anything over nothing in the winter.  I wanted to make sure that I kept riding through winter because I don't want Joker to get too out of practice. 

Our January total miles was 3.3.  As always I enjoy every minute I get to spend with Joker and the best view in my opinion is from his back looking forward!
